I always imagine the digital world as a living creature. Until now, we are the ones that manipulate this world, causing digital interfaces to change. In the Reactive CSS Transitions experiment, I reinvigorated the interface itself, letting it flow and react to us and to itself, as naturally as we’d expect.
Digital interfaces of these days are taking to the extreme big flat and colorful screens that provide us vivid experiences, and practically incorporate the smaller screens of mobile devices to let us carry our digital self anywhere. Still, through this wide variety of digital implementations, I miss live gestures that we are using everyday in the physical world. While artificial intelligence is a deep-sea that is being investigated for decades, there are some attributes we can empower our interfaces with, to give them a more natural user experience.
